The Refined Inquiries

Thirty years of concierge notes, distilled. Search the archive or browse by theme — and if the answer isn't here, the desk answers within the minute.

01 · Stays

Reservations & Rates

Booking mechanics, deposits, and what a confirmation actually guarantees.

Reservations open 18 months ahead. The Sky Villa and event-weekend dates sell first — race week and New Year's Eve typically close nine months out. Join the waitlist through the concierge for cancelled dates.

A card guarantee holds standard suites — nothing is charged until arrival, when we pre-authorise one night plus A$250 incidentals. Villas, packages and event bookings carry a 30% deposit per the schedule in your contract.

Flexible rates move freely until 16:00 the day before arrival. Within that window we reschedule once without penalty when the house has comparable availability — see the refund policy for prepaid rates.

Yes — the Best Rate Guarantee matches any lower public rate found within 24 hours of your direct booking, then adds a A$100 dining credit as an apology for the detour.

02 · The Casino

Gaming & the Floor

Entry rules, etiquette, and how the private salons work.

The casino floor is strictly 18+. Accepted ID: passport, Australian driver licence or proof-of-age card. Salon entry adds a membership or host referral check at the podium.

Smart casual throughout; after 20:00 the floor asks for collared shirts and closed shoes, and the private salons request evening dress. Hotel guests receive a courtesy pass for daytime play in resort attire.

The casino masterclass teaches blackjack, baccarat and roulette etiquette at a private learner's table with no real stakes — ninety minutes, A$180, run nightly at 19:00.

Voluntary limits can be set at the cage or through your host, self-exclusion is handled confidentially, and trained staff monitor the floor under our VGCCC licence obligations. Support contacts are printed on every key sleeve.

No photography of any kind on the gaming floor, and drones are prohibited across the entire estate — the towers sit within controlled airspace. Photography elsewhere is welcome; the skydeck is the favourite.

03 · The Rooms

Suites & Amenities

Check-in mechanics, in-room comforts and what's already inside.

Check-in from 15:00, check-out at 11:00. Early arrivals relax in the Sky Lounge; suite guests receive complimentary late check-out to 14:00, and villas to 16:00 when the calendar allows.

Complimentary gigabit fibre throughout the estate — typically 600+ Mbps in-suite, enough for 4K streaming or a boardroom-grade video call. A separate encrypted network serves the boardroom level.

A pillow menu of nine options — from Hungarian goose down to buckwheat and cooling gel — is in the wardrobe, or pre-select in the app before arrival and the bed is made to your spec.

Yes — Deluxe and Premier floors carry connecting pairs, and the family concierge configures cots, monitors and child-proofing before you land. See family services.

04 · Table & Spa

Dining & Wellness

Reservations, dietary requests and the thermal circuit rules.

The noodle bar and terrace cafés always do. The Seven-Act Table and Chef's Counter are reservation-only — hotel guests hold priority, and the concierge can often find seats the public system won't show.

Every menu is coded for the fourteen major allergens, and our kitchens run dedicated preparation lines. Note requirements at booking — the chef writes alternatives into the tasting menu rather than removing courses.

Dining rooms are smart casual — jackets appreciated at the signature table, never required. The spa provides robe, slippers and towels; swimwear is required in the thermal circuit.

Day passes (A$95) welcome external guests to the thermal circuit and relaxation lounges; treatments and the sky pool are reserved for residents. Bookings via the concierge desk.

05 · Getting Here

Transfers & Parking

Airports, helipads, valets and the scenic way in.

Three options: the electric limousine (A$220, ~25 min, flight-tracked), the rooftop helicopter (A$890, 12 min), or the SkyBus to Southern Cross where our buggy collects you. Details on the fleet page.

For hotel and restaurant guests, yes — 24/7 at the Whiteman Street entrance, including EV charging and a wash on request. Casino visitors pay a flat evening rate unless dining.

The Level 88 helipad accepts private aircraft by slot booking — coordinates 37°49′21″ S 144°57′28″ E, PPR through the concierge at least 48 hours ahead with noise-abatement windows observed.

The estate runs discreet 24/7 security: vetted chauffeurs, screened deliveries, monitored perimeters and a private entrance for guests who prefer not to cross the lobby at all.

06 · The Fine Print

Privacy, Pets & Policies

The questions guests hesitate to ask — asked anyway.

Pets under 15 kg stay on dedicated floors with beds, menus and walking routes — A$85 per night covers the full program. Registered assistance animals are welcome everywhere, without charge.

Under the Australian Privacy Act and, for international guests, GDPR-equivalent standards — data minimised, never sold, deleted on request. The full policy is on the privacy page.

Discretion, yes — private entrance, suite-only check-in, NDAs for staff where contracted. Anonymity, no — Australian law requires verified identity at check-in and on the gaming floor.

The towers are fully non-smoking; a cigar terrace on Level 3 carries a proper ventilation system. Quiet hours run 22:00–07:00 on residential floors, enforced by the same acoustic standard our walls were built to.

One Last Question

When Are You Arriving?

The rest of the answers write themselves from the 55th-floor pool, the atrium bar, or a balcony over the river.
